Typewritten and manuscript material, newspaper clippings, letters and resolutions concerning the work of W. H. Smith in founding the first boys' corn club in the South, in Holmes County in 1906–1907, and concerning his work as County Superintendent of Education, State Superintendent of Education, and president of Mississippi Agricultural and Mechanical College (Mississippi State College). This collection gives the background for the Four-H Club movement in Mississippi and in the South.
