This collection consists of four letters written by Confederate soldiers to family members. A November 1862 letter written by Willie Hoof details camp experiences near Tullahoma, Alabama, and expected troop movements. Three letters by Samuel A. Barnes tell of camp life near Augusta in September and November 1863. Barnes also writes from the Howard Grove Hospital in July 1864.
