Plantation record book for the period from January 1, 1855, to October 6, 1856, of William R. Elley, Washington County. The records are kept in Thomas Affleck, The Cotton Plantation Record and Account Book, No. 2, Suitable for a Force of 80 Hands, or Under" (Louisville, Ky., 1852). In addition to irregular daily entries, detailed daily records were made of cotton picked by each slave. The volume is 24 x 36 cm. in size and contains 91 pages.
