Letters and copies of letters to Mrs. Emily Van Dorn Miller, New Orleans, Louisiana, and Washington, D.C., in regard to her brother, Major General Earl Van Dorn of Port Gibson. Some of the letters pertain to the assassination of General Van Dorn on May 7, 1863. Among the papers are a copy of a letter from Jefferson Davis (December 17, 1877), a letter from Fitzhugh Lee (August 1, 1901), and a letter from Franklin L. Riley (May 15, 1901).
