Z 0739.000 Pemberton (John C.) Papers

Copies of letters to and from Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton. Two letters are from Jefferson Davis. The volume is a copy of an unfinished letter from Pemberton to an unknown person, and was apparently written in 1877 or 1878. It contains a detailed account of operations during the Siege of Vicksburg.
