Typescript of "Eighth Confederate Cavalry, 1861–1865" by Judge G. K. Miller, Talladega, Alabama. Judge Miller served as captain of Company A in this regiment. The regiment was composed of three companies from Lowndes County, one from Chickasaw County, and six from Alabama. The unit served under General Joseph Wheeler in all his campaigns.
