Manuscript of Dr. Harry Robinson Godman, poet, artist, woodcarver, physician and farmer-nurseryman of Hinds County. Dr. Godman was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and moved to Hinds County prior to the Civil War. He died in 1878 of yellow fever, after successfully treating the case of his close friend, Governor Albert Gallatin Brown. Items of interest include:
