Letters of John Faulkner, Mrs. John Faulkner, C. E. Falkner, and Mrs. John E. Fontaine concerning an exhibit of Mr. Faulkner's paintings at Allison's Wells, Way. John Faulkner (September 1901–March 1963), resident of Oxford, author, painter and brother of Nobel Prize winner William Faulkner, exhibited his paintings at Allison's Wells in January and February 1960 at the invitation of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Fontaine, owners of the resort and Art Colony. Included is a seven page typescript, "The John Faulkner Paintings, Scenes from the Vanishing South," giving brief descriptions and background information of eighteen paintings.
