Xerox copy of a working manuscript (typescript) of No Place for an Angel (New York: McGraw-Hill Book Company, 1967), 305 pp., by Elizabeth Spencer. Miss Spencer (1921–), was born in Carrollton, Mississippi, taught English and creative writing in Mississippi and Tennessee, was a newspaper reporter, and six of her novels have been published. She has written numerous short stories, most of which were published in The New Yorker.
