Account book of Harper Carpenter and Company of Grand Gulf, Claiborne County, 1836–1839. This volume is 1116 pages and contains accounts of cotton planters and farmers in the Bayou Pierre and Big Black River and surrounding area. Harper Carpenter and Company were cotton factors, money lenders, real estate agents and sold general merchandise also. The first two hundred pages are indexed in a separate volume, which has been microfilmed first.
