Z 1174.000 Jackson City Auditorium-Armory Cornerstone Contents

Contents of the cornerstone of the old Jackson City Auditorium which was laid April 4, 1923. The contents include issues of the Daily Clarion Ledger, Jackson Daily News and the Magnolia Legionnaire dated April 4, 1923; a list of city officials; list of officers of the Grand Lodge of Mississippi and the Pearl Lodge No. 23, Jackson; and a list of officers of certain civic clubs in Jackson. These items were removed from the cornerstone in June 1970, when the old structure was razed.
