Z 1216.000 Stone (Phil) Manuscripts

Phil Stone was at one time President of the Mississippi Bar Association and was Assistant U.S. District Attorney in the Northern District of Mississippi. Aside from his legal work, Stone wrote a series of articles entitled "William Faulkner, the Man and His Work" for the Oxford Magazine, Oxford. The first of these two manuscripts is a typescript of an article which appeared in the issue of April 1, 1934, dealing with Faulkner's writing ability and general statements about him. The second item concerns Faulkner's ancestry and appeared June 1, 1934.
