Bound copy of the manuscript by Thelma T. Collums entitled "Some Houlkans Yesterday and Today." This manuscript is a collection of facts concerning the growth and development of Houlka, Chickasaw County. The research on this work was begun in 1952 by Thelma T. Collums who graduated from Blue Mountain College and the University of Mississippi. She taught in Calhoun City for 3 1/2 years and at Houlka for 11 years. She came to Jackson in 1953 and taught in the public school system for 21 years.
