LEIGH (RICHARD HENRY) COLLECTION


Richard Henry Leigh was born in Batesville on August 12, 1870. He was educated in the Eupora schools, Mississippi College and University of Mississippi. He received his masters' degree at Peabody College. He had served as superintendent of schools at Moorhead, Inverness, and Gunnison before going to Rosedale. He was a member of Sigma Chi, a past Rotary president and superintendent of the Baptist Church.

This collection contains two diplomatic passports, September 1933 (ff. 1); and a Doctor of Science degree from the University of Southern California, June 3, 1933 (ff. 2).
