A typescript carbon copy of a journal written in 1898 by Margaret Winters Davis of New Iberia, Louisiana, provides genealogical information on the descendants of Adam Winters of Oulrichsburg, Pennsylvania, who married Margaret Bitz in 1787 and of Samuel Davis, born in Wales in 1741. Additional typescripts provide birth and death information from the Davis family Bible, an obituary of Katherine Davis and a list of Davis family graves in New Iberia. Also included is a parole of honor granted to John R. Davis on May 12, 1865. There are photographs of four family portraits and photographs of the Davis family Bible entries.
