CONFEDERATE POST COMMISSARY INVOICE AND DISCHARGE BOOK, 1862
Photocopy of an account book kept by William Lyle at the Post Commissary during September, October and November in Clinton, Louisiana. Included are accounts in October and November with Silliman Hospital and the Soldier's Home Hospital, Account of Issues of Confederate Commissary Stores.
In the volume someone, presumably Lyle, wrote a five-page account entitled "Natchez under Yankee Rule!" In this account Lyle comments on the citizens reaction to the United States Army in Natchez.
