Z 1707.000 Rather (Hugh) Collection

Hugh Rather of Holly Springs was a student at Jefferson Military College, Washington, Mississippi, from 1898–1902. These papers cover the period when Rather was a student at Jefferson Military College. Letters sent to his family in Holly Springs reveal daily activities of the students and certain requests for money and permission to leave the campus. A report card from 1902 and four photographs of students at the school also reveal facets of student life. There is a catalogue for the college for the 1898–99 academic year, and a textbook edition of James Russell Lovell's The Vision of Sir Launfal.
