Grace Parish was organized February 23, 1848, in Canton and was received into the Diocese of Mississippi in May 1848. Minutes of the Vestry (1 vol.) cover the period 1855–1864 and also include subscription for the support of the minister (1855–1860), treasurer's record (1855–1856; 1864–1866), contingent fund (1854–1856) and miscellaneous records (1855–1856). The Parish Registers (4 vols.) cover the period 1848–1962.
Volume 1 (1848–1894) lists for the year 1848 those "gentlemen" who were "the principal supporters of the Church, and the most regular attendants upon her ministrations," giving their occupation and marital status, and parishioners for the years 1853, 1855–1856, 1859–1860 and 1865; baptisms (1848–1894); confirmations (1848–1868); communicants (1848–1864); marriages (1848–1865); burials (1849–1864), with cause of death given; and church offerings (1848–1878). The register used is A Complete Parish Register (New York: Stanford and Swords, 1848).
Volume 2 (1868–1943) contains miscellaneous history notes, and lists parish families; baptisms (1872–1898); confirmations (1868–1889); communicants; marriages (1868–1943); burials (1872–1943), with cause of death given; and offerings (1872–1889).
Volume 3 contains miscellaneous history notes, and lists parish families; baptisms (1897–1943); confirmations (1891–1942); communicants; marriages (1891–1934); and burials (1897–1935). Registers used for volumes 2 and 3 were A New Parish Register (New York: E. P. Dutton & Co., 1867 & 1898).
Volume 4 (1943–1962) is indexed, contains miscellaneous history notes and lists communicants, baptisms, confirmations, burials (with cause of death given) and marriages (giving parents' names) for 1943–1962. Volume 4 (1963–1974) is indexed and lists communicants; baptisms (1963–1974); confirmations (1964–1974); burials (1963–1974), with cause of death given; marriages (1963–1974), giving parents' names; and parish families. The register used is The Canonical Parish Register (New York: Morehouse-Barlow Co., n.d.) The Record of Service consists of 1 volume and covers the period 1948–1973.
