This volume is primarily a minute book for the Creole Union Benevolent Society in DeLisle. Monthly meetings for 1938 through 1964 are covered. Membership lists are included with minutes information. The Creole Union Benevolent Society served as an insurance company in that dues and fines went to pay medical bills for injured or ill members. These payments comprised much of the discussion at each meeting in determining who would be covered for medical expenses.
