The United Spanish War Veterans, Department of Mississippi, was organized on February 2, 1924. 

 

Scope and Content Note:

The papers and records of the United Spanish War Veterans, Department of Mississippi, date from April 1, 1926, to December 5, 1947. They include correspondence, financial records, orders, rosters, death records, membership applications, reports, and minutes of meetings. 

The collection also contains papers and records of the Harry C. Marshall Auxiliary No. 1 of Jackson and the William J. Cleveland Auxiliary No. 8 of Moss Point.
