The first 10 pages of this volume contain the minutes of the Adams Athenaeum (March 15, 1825–October 12, 1826) and the remainder is the plantation diary of Levin Covington of Adams County (February 26–July 24, 1829; February 18–August 11, 1830; February 17–July 13, 1831; February 6–August 10, 1832; February 13–August 9, 1833; February 10–May 20, 1834), and records of cotton picking and miscellaneous entries (August 13, 1844–March 10, 1845). The volume is 19.5 cm. by 24.5 cm. in size and contains 131 pages.
