A collection of material relating to the career of James K. Vardaman, governor of Mississippi (1904–1908) and U.S. senator (1913–1919). The volumes are as follows:

  • 3 scrapbooks containing newspaper articles, 1913–1936, compiled by Mrs. Macey Dinkins, Vardaman's private secretary
  • 3 volumes of reprints of speeches made by Vardaman in the U.S. Senate, 1914–1919
  • 2 typewritten manuscripts by A. S. Coody, Jackson. These are the "Messages of Governor James K. Vardaman, 1904–1908," (169 pp.), and "The Way of Human Progress," (183 pp., 35 pp.), a study of political philosophies.
