Scope and Content Note:

Ledgers of Walter Hillman (1829–1894) who became president of the Central Female Institute, later Hillman College, of Clinton, Mississippi, in 1856, served as president of Mississippi College, 1867–1873, and became owner of the Central Female Institute in 1869. This collection contains two ledgers. 

"Ledger C", 552 pp., covers the years 1867–1876. 

"Ledger D", 624 pp. and index, covers the years, 1871–1878.
