Series 22: Fiction in Publications, Eudora Welty Collection (Z/0301)
Series 22: Fiction in Publications.
Dates: 1936-1988; n.d.
Size: 1.35 cubic ft.
Note on changes to the Series:
This series was originally entitled “Periodical Publications – Welty’s Copies.” It has been re-titled to include short fiction appearing in other publications as well as periodicals, and now contains photocopies of her stories as well as complete publications kept by Welty.
Formerly, the items in this series were entirely housed in Box 101 of the collection. With the addition of new material, and to effect better preservation, the series has been re-housed, and the new box and folder numbers are indicated below.
The originals and photocopies are arranged chronologically by publication date. The items acquired from Welty’s Estate appear in bold font. Noel Polk’s Eudora Welty: A Bibliography of her Work (Jackson & London: University Press of Mississippi, 1994) has been of particular value in determining the origin of some of the photocopies.
