Publisher's manuscript of Mississippi Criminal Law and Procedure, by Earle L.Wingo (November 17, 1899–September 24, 1962), native of Jackson. Wingo, an attorney, served as chairman of the Board of Law Examiners during the administration of Governor Paul B. Johnson and Governor Thomas L. Bailey, was United States Commissioner for four years, first state commander of the Disabled Veterans of World War I, and was active in civic and religious affairs in Hattiesburg, where he made his home from 1919 until his death.
