Xerox copy of the manuscript (typescript) of "The House Jeff Built," by Frank E. Everett, Jr., attorney of Vicksburg, historian, and member of the Board of Trustees of the Department of Archives and History. The manuscript tells the story of "Brierfield," the home built by Jefferson Davis on Davis Island in the Mississippi River. There are photographs, genealogical material, and a bibliography.
