Xerox copies of three letters written by Fred Y. Dabney, Captain, Corps of Engineers, C. S. A., to Dr. John E. Moncure, Dry Grove, Mississippi, and the obituary of Captain Dabney in the Confederate Veteran. Two of the letters were written from Evansport, Virginia, and the third letter was written from Port Hudson, Louisiana, all concerning the Civil War. The original letters are owned by Mrs. W. E. Williams, Jr., Clinton Mississippi, great-granddaughter of Mr. Dabney.
