Scope and Content Note: 

The papers of the Bank of Port Gibson, Mississippi, were secured through Mrs. J. W. Person, Port Gibson. The papers were stored in a suitcase which was involved in a fire. Because of the damage done to the papers, they were left unarranged, as taken from the water-damaged suitcase.
