This collection contains some papers of the Pearson Mercantile Company, Russum, owned by George B. Pearson and Mae Pearson. There are four folders of miscellaneous receipts and invoices; bank papers; special tax receipts and licenses; one folder concerning animal vaccination; and a few perpetual inventory sheets. One folder contains correspondence and papers, including the estate tax return for Lawrence S. Pearson, December 5, 1936. Lawrence S. Pearson had purchased the store in 1927. This collection also contains one volume of Money Order Advices Received and Orders Paid at the Post Office at Russum, 1926–1943, and there is one volume of seventy stock certificates issued by the store, only three of which were sold, January 27, 1927.
