Hepzibah Baptist Church (Lawrence County, Miss.)
Hepzibah Baptist Church of Lawrence County, Mississippi, was organized in 1817, according to the 1979 Annual of the Mississippi Baptist Convention. The church is a member of the Jefferson Davis Baptist Association and may have been called Poplar Spring Baptist Church during one period of its early history. These records (2.5 linear inches) consist of seven volumes of church minutes, which include membership lists, lists of church officers, and blank pages (1958–1977); letters of membership (n.d. 1933–1980); and miscellaneous papers, i.e., letters of resignation, list of church officers, resolutions, etc. (n.d.).
