History:
The Capital Business and Professional Women's Club was chartered in September of 1948. Among the projects with which the club has been involved are work with Easter Seals and the Society for the Prevention of Blindness, as well as the organization of Goodwill Industries of Mississippi. The present name of the club is Capital and Riverside Business and Professional Women's Club.
Scope and Content Note:
This collection consists of twenty-eight scrapbooks that document the activities the Capital Business and Professional Women's Club from 1950 to 1981. They contain correspondence, memorabilia, newsclippings, and photographs. There is one box of loose documents, newsclippings, and photographs that are similar to those found in the scrapbooks.
