Pamphlet as described by the title. A table showing the number of colonists sent to Liberia from the United States for the years 1820 through 1858, including the names of the ships that carried them, appears in the appendix. A recapitulation at the end of the table indicates that a total of 10,039 colonists from twenty-six states and the Indian Nation immigrated during that period. The largest number (3,464) came from Virginia. Mississippi had contributed 536.
