(The collection has another copy of this pamphlet published by a different printer in volume 107 [no. 7]. However, that copy also contains a copy of General Nathaniel P. Banks’s report from Port Hudson, Louisiana, in which he praises the bravery of black soldiers engaged in the assault on May 27, 1863, as well as a poem extolling the valor of African American soldiers during their assault.)
