William Lewis Sharkey
William Lewis Sharkey, son of Patrick Sharkey, was probably born in Knox County, Tennessee, on August 12, 1798. Sharkey moved with his family, including younger brothers Jacob Rhodes and James Elliott, to Warrenton, Warren County, Mississippi, around 1800. Both of Sharkey’s parents had died by 1813, leaving him to support himself and his brothers by farming.

Biography:
Madison King was born in North Carolina on December 18, 1810. He was the son of Dr. John King and Charlotte King. Madison King earned a medical degree by the late 1830s. He married Mary Frances F. Brame, daughter of James Dabney and Susan C. Brame, on May 18, 1837. The Kings were residing on the plantation of James Dabney Brame, near Pontotoc, Pontotoc County, Mississippi, in 1850. They had three children: Mary Lenora (b. August 2, 1839), Susan Frances Fannie (b. May 6, 1844), and James Brame (b. December 28, 1846). Dr.

Biography/History:
Ethel Lee Wright was born in Fame, Webster County, Mississippi, on October 13, 1906. She was the eldest daughter of Elijah (Lidge) and Nina Bell Ramsay Wright. The Wright family, including siblings Hazel Edna (b. ca. 1909), Eva Lloyd (b. ca. 1910), and Ortie Orville (b. ca. 1913), moved to Shaw, Bolivar County, Mississippi, around 1921.
