Letters of Philander Smith, a merchant of Natchez and a member of the Mississippi legislature on the Federalist ticket. The letters, to his brother, Jedidiah Smith of Blanford, Massachusetts, discuss politics and business in territorial Natchez.

Miscellaneous business papers of the House of Representatives, addressed to L. Pink Smith, Clerk of the House. Contains a press telegram of an address to the Legislature of Mississippi by William Randolph Hearst.
